    Is there any example of WordPress used as a Marketplace i.e. where users can sell their own products.

      @Nabeel ClassiPress at Classipress.com, Templatic also has a good theme for classifieds. So does WooThemes. I would not go with free themes though. There are a few plugins that do let you create mini classified sites. Also, check this out: http://www.wpjedi.com/classified-solutions-for-wo

    Most likely I'm too late for Nabeel to ever see this but you never who might come along in future with the same question…

    Anyway, ClassiPress is probably what you want, it lets users post their own adverts (you can decide how much it costs them if anything).
