You can even try to clone what others have done in the past. Whether you are interested in cloning Facebook or just want to have the look and feel of Digg on your site, you can do it all with WordPress clone themes. Most of these themes are cheap or free, so you won’t have to spend too much money to get started with your project.

Here are 35 fun WordPress clone themes that let you duplicate the design of some of the most popular sites on the Internet:

Apple.com has a very unique look and feel to it. That’s actually the case with all Apple products. The design is clean and very intuitive. Whether Apple is trying to push the iPad or its other products, its website does a great job of doing that as it’s very usable and does not confuse you with too many bells and whistles. iBlogPro for WordPress is a clone WP theme that lets you duplicate the look and feel of Apple.com (similar by not exact) on your blog.  Of course, there is more to iBlogPro than just its looks.

The theme is designed for those who want to build a sophisticated, yet clean looking portal. It has plenty of space for you to promote your top products and drive your point home on your WordPress site. The nice thing about the featured section is the fact that you can display multiple stories on it and even add YouTube videos to it.

If you have been surfing the Internet in the past few months, you have probably had time to check AllTop. It’s a news aggregator that aims to let its visitors keep track of almost anything under the sun. While it does not cover every single topic you can think of, it’s still pretty impressive in size. You may not be able to duplicate what the AllTop team has accomplished over the past few months. But you can always create your very own news aggregator to keep track of your own favorite topics on your own site. Accumulo for WordPress is just the theme for that cause. It lets you create your own AllTop style website next to your blog and share your favorite feeds with the world.

The theme is pretty clean and very easy to use. All you have to do is add your favorite RSS feed in the back-end, and you are set to go. You can change the name and order of tabs in the back-end. In order to get the best look possible with this theme, you want to provide it with feed name, URL, and favicon. You are not limited to blog feeds here. As long as you can get your hands on a RSS feed, you can add it to this theme (that includes Twitter and Google RSS feeds too).

CNN used to be one of my favorite sites a few years ago. Not because it had the best news around, but due to all the cool features that CNN was implementing ahead of its competitors. These days, more people are building their own news portals and try to share the news that are important to them with the world. If you think about it, this niche is far from mature, and there is still room for more players to enter. Thanks to themes such as Cene, you can easily create your own news portal without having to spend too much money. Since WordPress is free, your start up cost won’t be too high.

WhiteHouse.gov is one of the most popular websites on the web for obvious reasons. The site does have a very clean look and feel, and it’s used by the administrations to convey information to the public and the world. WhiteHouse.gov does go through redesigns from time to time, and it has been the case with the new administration as well. I have to say I am a big fan of the new design as it’s clean and quite attractive. But I am even a bigger fan of WhiteHouse Pro as it’s a very good looking clone of the design used on WhiteHouse.gov.

WhiteHouse Pro gives you a chance to duplicate the design of the White House’s official website on your WordPresss blog. The theme is very clean and has a professional look and feel to it. Now you certainly don’t want to use the theme to actually clone WhiteHouse.gov (that could get you in trouble). But if you are looking to start a WordPress portal and happen to like WhiteHouse.gov’s design, the theme provides you with a good design to build your portal upon.
